چکیده

The one-dimensional Schrr odinger equation is considered when the potential and its rst moment are absolutely integrable. The potential is uniquely constructed in terms of the scattering data consisting of the reeection coeecient from the right (left) and the knowledge of the potential on the right (left) half line of the real axis. Hence, neither the bound state energies nor the bound state norming constants are needed to determine the potential, and in fact these are uniquely determined by the scattering data. An explicit example is provided. Also considered are two inverse scattering problems for a generalized Schrr odinger equation with two potentials when the potential to be recovered is partially known.

On the Direct and Inverse Scattering for the Matrix Schr Odinger Equation on the Line

The one-dimensional matrix Schrr odinger equation is considered when the matrix potential is selfadjoint and satisses certain general restrictions. The small-energy asymptotics of the scattering solutions and scattering coeecients are derived. The continuity of the scattering coeecients is established. The unique solvability of the corresponding matrix Marchenko integral equations is proved. Sh...

Factorization of Scattering Matrices Due to Partitioning of Potentials in One-dimensional Schr Odinger-type Equations

The one-dimensional Schrodinger equation and two of its generalizations are considered, as they arise in quantum mechanics, wave propagation in a nonhomogeneous medium, and wave propagation in a nonconservative medium where energy may be absorbed or generated. Generically, the zero-energy transmission coe cient vanishes when the potential is nontrivial, but in the exceptional case this coe cie...

On the Use of Schr odinger ' s Equation in the Analytic Determination of Horn Re ectance

The ared horn is modeled assuming that Webster's horn equation is satis ed. Any shape can be assumed for the wavefront within the horn. This paper presents a technique for solving Webster's horn equation as follows: The equation is converted to the form of the Schrodinger wave equation used for one-dimensional particle scattering. The horn characteristics can then be obtained directly in terms...

Analytical properties of scattering amplitudes in one-dimensional quantum theory

One-dimensional quantum scattering from a local potential barrier is considered. Analytical properties of the scattering amplitudes have been investigated by means of the integral equations equivalent to the Schrodinger equations. The transition and re ection amplitudes are expressed in terms of two complex functions of the incident energy, which are similar to the Jost function in the partial...
